Thugs of Hindostan review

Thugs of Hindostan is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action-adventure film written and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. The film is based on Philip Meadows Taylor's 1839 fiction novel Confessions of a Thug and stars Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh. It is set to be released during Diwali on 7 November 2018.

The film's production budget is 210 crore (US$32 million), making it the most expensive Yash Raj Films production, along with Tiger Zinda Hai (2017). Filming commenced on 5 June 2017 in Malta. The film will be shot in Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur. It is also being shot in Thailand. It was rumoured that Aamir Khan wasn't convinced with Katrina's work in a few scenes involving action sequences and asked her to reshoot those portions but YRF later denied occurrence of such an incident.Amitabh Bachchan suffered with neck and back pain due to the heavy clothing and stunts in the film.The film's climax will be filmed in Rajasthan and the movie is expected to wrap filming in March 2018.
This is Khan's second time collaborating with Vijay Krishna Acharya and Katrina Kaif, after Dhoom 3 (2013).The film will have a dance sequence featuring Bachchan, choreographed by Prabhu Deva.It will also reportedly feature sea battles similar to ones seen in films such as Pirates of the Caribbean.
Jackie Shroff was to be a part of the film, but had to turn the role down due to conflicting commitments.
